Privacy Policy
This website is the personal website of Klaus Petersen (see the Imprint for contact details). This page explains what personal data is processed when you visit it, why, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Klaus Petersen. For any privacy request, contact me via the details in the Imprint.
What is processed, and why
Server logs. When you visit this site, the web server records your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, and your browser’s user agent string. These logs are used to keep the site secure and to diagnose technical problems (legitimate interest). They are deleted after 14 days.
Browser storage. The site stores only technically necessary preferences in your browser, such as your color theme choice. No analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies are used.
Embedded media
Some pages embed media players from third parties, currently the SoundCloud audio player (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Berlin, Germany). The player loads when you open a page containing it; loading it transmits your IP address and browser data to SoundCloud. SoundCloud’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, on servers located in Tokyo, Japan.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact me via the details in the Imprint.
